Kaitlin Atwood

Kaitlin has always had a knack for transforming the ordinary into something extraordinary. As a mom to three, she’s mastered repurposing everyday household items into imaginative costumes, festive decorations, and stunning artwork. So when Angie Roberts Harris, a family friend, approached her with the idea of illustrating “Finding Fred,” Kaitlin was immediately on board.

Angie envisioned artwork that was eye-catching and deeply relatable for kids. Kaitlin, fond of working with crayons, saw the perfect opportunity to use this simple yet expressive medium. Together, they decided that crayons would breathe life into the book’s main characters, making each page a vibrant mix of mediums that would captivate and connect with young readers at first glance.
